FAQs About BaroCook Flameless Cooking System

Absolutely. Our Heating Packs are composed of 18 natural, eco-friendly materials. When activated with water, they produce non-toxic steam, making them safe for both the environment and users. The only vapour emitted during cooking is water vapour, and used heat packs can be disposed of in regular trash.

BaroCook Heating Packs have a shelf life of over 3 years when kept sealed in their original packaging.

Soup, coffee, and tea: 5 to 10 minutes

Instant noodles: 15 minutes

Pasta and vegetables: 50 minutes

Frozen food: 25 to 30 minutes

The duration depends on the amount of food and the size of the heating pack used. For example, heating 500ml of food with a 50g heating pack can reach up to 95°C and maintain a temperature between 65°C and 70°C for about an hour.

Activated (used) heat packs can be disposed of in the trash. Unactivated heat packs should not be thrown away with regular trash to avoid accidental activation if they come into contact with liquids.

The packs are made from quicklime, a blend of 18 different minerals and sands. The steam produced is simply hydrogen and oxygen gas, making it non-toxic, eco-friendly, odourless, and water-insoluble. The residual quicklime powder is environmentally friendly, less harmful than salt, sand, or mud.

While the maximum temperature of the heating packs is 130°C, it's rare but possible for the containers to deform under extreme heat. To prevent this, we recommend removing the heating pack after use.
