Understanding the BaroCook Flameless Cooking Technology

BaroCook Cooking Containers offer a revolutionary cooking solution that combines convenience with safety, making it perfect for adventurers, campers, and emergency preparedness in New Zealand. Here's a closer look at how this innovative system works:

BaroCook containers consist of two main parts: an outer plastic container and an inner stainless steel container designed to hold your food or beverage. The bottom of the outer container is specifically designed to accommodate a heating packet (available in 50g or 20g sizes) along with a small amount of water.

The core of BaroCook's flameless cooking technology lies in its heating packets, which are composed of quicklime (calcium oxide). This substance is a natural blend of 18 different minerals and sands. Upon adding water to the heating packet, a chemical reaction is initiated, generating heat up to 98°C. This process produces steam, a combination of hydrogen and oxygen gas, which is completely non-toxic, eco-friendly, and odourless.

During the heating process, the outer plastic container is sealed, ensuring that the steam generated from the chemical reaction efficiently heats the contents of the inner metal container. This innovative method allows for the safe and efficient heating of food or drinks without the need for fire, electricity, or fuel.
